THE IRISH NFL SHOW : THANKSGIVING SPECIAL AIRS WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 24TH


Show features various guests, including Super Bowl XXXV Champion Rod Woodson and Super Bowl XLIV Champion Thomas Morstead

The Irish NFL Show, Ireland’s premier American Football outlet will premiere its yearly Thanksgiving Special on Wednesday November 24th at 9PM Irish time. The show is headlined by Super Bowl XXXV Champion Rod Woodson and Super Bowl XLIV Champion Thomas Morstead, while Sports Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina, NFL Network’s Colleen Wolfe and Jane Slater will also join the broadcast in the build up to the three Thanksgiving games on Thursday, November 25th.

With three games on Thursday, November 25th, The Irish NFL Show aims to connect fans in Ireland, the United Kingdom and beyond with interviews and analysis ahead of the games. The early game will see the Chicago Bears travel to the Detroit Lions, who are a staple of the NFL Thanksgiving schedule. In the later game, The Dallas Cowboys will host the Las Vegas Raiders at AT&T Stadium. The Thanksgiving schedule rounds off with a historic welcome back to New Orleans for Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, when they welcome the Buffalo Bills to the Caesars Superdome.

“The engagement and growth of the NFL market in 2021 alone in Ireland has been astounding,” said Michael McQuaid, co-founder of The Irish NFL Show. Rod Woodson is an American former professional football player in the National Football League for 17 seasons. He had a 10-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a key member of the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV championship team that beat the New York Giants. Woodson is the honorary president of The London Olympians American Football Club and currently works through his foundation, Hope Through Football.

Thomas Morstead is a punter who is currently a free agent after playing with the New Orleans Saints from 2009 to 2020. Morstead was part of the New Orleans Saints roster in 2009 that was victorious in Super Bowl XLIV. More recently, Morstead was a part of the New York Jets team that played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London in October 2021.

Colleen Wolfe hosts a variety of NFL Network shows such as NFL GameDay Kickoff, Good Morning Football: Weekend, NFL Total Access and more, as well as the network's on-location coverage of events such as the Super Bowl and NFL Draft. Wolfe hails from Philadelphia where she worked for FOX 29, Comcast SportsNet, Sports Radio 94 WIP prior to joining NFL Media in 2014.


Jimmy Traina is a writer/producer for SI.com. He currently writes the daily column, "Traina Thoughts" which is published Monday through Friday. He also hosts the highly successful weekly Sports Illustrated Media Podcast. Traina joined SI.com in 2000 and created the daily "Hot Clicks" feature in 2007, which he wrote until 2013.

Jane Slater is a reporter for the NFL Network, appearing on several NFL Media properties. Prior to joining NFL Network in 2016, Slater worked for ESPN as an anchor and sideline reporter for the Longhorn Network. She also worked on the College World Series and college football bowl games for the SEC Network and ESPN. Slater started her career in radio, where she worked for KTVT CBS 11, KRLD News Radio, WFAA Ch. 8, and 105.3 The Fan in the Dallas region.
