‘The Draft Show’ on Virgin Media Sport Airs Wednesday, April 28th at 10:30 PM (GMT +1)
First Irish led American Football television broadcast in thirty years
The Irish NFL Show announced today that ‘The Draft Show’ will premiere on Virgin Media Sport on Wednesday, April 28 at 10:30 PM (GMT +1), following the Champions League semi-final between Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City.
This is a historic moment for American Football in Ireland. Croke Park stadium last hosted a game in 1997 and we believe that this is the first Irish hosted American Football television programme since the Championship game in 1991.
Co-Host of ‘The Draft Show’, Colum Cronin said “As someone who grew up watching American Football on Irish television, which is how I fell in love with the game, this marks a welcome return. We've witnessed firsthand the growth in interest in the game across the whole island and are thrilled to have this opportunity to speak about the upcoming draft, one of the most pivotal moments in the football calendar."
The show will also welcome Ian Rapoport, who is an NFL Network Insider. Rapoport has covered the league since 2009, previously serving as Patriots beat reporter for the Boston Herald for three seasons.
